Zaks hated the rain as it made her hair become long and straight to the point it hung almost like a jacket on her shoulders. "" UGHH Now of all times? It was sunny on the way here!"" The Queen moaned loudly as she tried to pull her hair back into a braid. She needed it out of the way so she did not look like some beggar when she arrived at Crimson rivers. "" Sorry...but can you give this living mop your dragon balls please? I need it to save my people. HAH!""
She was currently walking up to the village now as she did not want to land right in the middle of and possibly scare anyone. Zaks had to face it more then once since coming to the earth. She was scary as she towered over almost everyone on the planet and her sharp teeth did not help at all. That was before they realized she was Saiyan or much less the Saiyan Queen. She had made that mistake once before and it had not been the best time.
Looking around the village looked...Peaceful and simple. It reminded her of back in the day when she and the lunar tribe still all lived underground. Back in the day when they still had bone tools and other things instead of manufactured Equipment. Stopping she examined every single building slowly her mind fading into memory as she stood in the rain.
She had slowly drifted off into her memories that several of the townsfolk had noticed her and were watching her from inside there homes. The rain was light but most of them did not want to go out and meet the strange woman. Much less go outside and meet the Giant strange woman who had just random walked into the town Square.
Finally she shook her head and looked around her and saw them watching her with a mix of curiosity and fear. But she was not interested in them and instead slowly turned to the largest building in the village. "" I bet that is were the leader is...if not i will keep looking."" she did not want to disturb the towns folk but if she could not find what she wanted from the eldar...or leader then she might have to. "" HUH? what is that?"" the Queen mused as she sensed a strong ki inside the building she was heading to. It wasn't the largest KI she had ever felt but...that didn't mean anything if the person it belonged to was relaxed.
Or not transformed. A traitorous voice in her head whispered to her.
the longer and the closer she got to this power more a feeling of dread rolled up in her gut. This figure was a SAIYAN! She was sure of it by the way the KI felt compared to everyone else here. "" Just my luck..."" She muttered as she knocked on the door of the building. She could Feel Shinso and Gemini on the approach.. hopefully she did not need there help.

Since Athren had felt Arctic's power out in the universe, nothing within Crimson Rivers has been the same. The people he was responsible for taking care of had been none the wiser to what Athren had felt, they had no idea of the looming danger that was potentially heading their way. He refused to tell them, he didn't think it was necessary to cause a panic, he didn't want them to spend their last weeks on Earth worrying if Arctic did indeed come to Earth. Yet, the townsfolk were far from stupid, they could tell by Athren's attitude, his demeanour that something wasn't right. He was preparing something and they all saw it, he was constantly in his Super Saiyan two form, he was constantly off and training at new locations. It was more than obvious that he was preparing for something, they just didn't know what it was. While it did bring a minimum amount of concern to the townsfolk who had actually noticed this new trend with Athren, they all had faith that he could handle whatever he was preparing for, assuming that he was preparing for some kind of threat that was. They put their trust in him, he had proven himself to be a capable warrior, a good leader and the one who could keep them safe. After all, they couldn't even begin to dream up somebody that could defeat Athren, he was the one to defeat Liari and save south city. He could do it again, they had absolutely no doubts with that. Athren on the other hand knew exactly what was potentially coming their way, the power had been like nothing he ever sensed before. He could feel Arctic's power, it was enough to shake every single nerve in his body. He even struggled to comprehend how powerful he was but that wasn't going to change a thing about how he lived his now, if anything it motivated him to get back to training just as frequently as he used too, he had barely taken any downtime anymore, his assistance and presence within the village had declined, he had always been off at random locations on the Earth training, getting stronger and making sure he didn't bring unwanted attention to the village itself. It was bad enough that Arctic was out in the universe and potentially heading their way, the last thing he needed to do was bring Arctic right to his village or even some other threat for that matter. While the Earth had remained to lack threats that lay idle on the planet, it wasn't something that he was willing to risk openly. The less attention he brought to his village the better and the constant governmental investigations was already more than what he wanted. If a threat did arrive to the town, he wasn't going to negotiate, he wasn't going to try and talk it out and get them to leave. He would remove the threat, with however much force was required to do so. The reason he had been using his super Saiyan two form for every was rather simple, he wanted to achieve a mastered level like he did with his Super Saiyan transformation. This would make him be able to maximize his damage output while reducing the drain the form took on his body, plus he wanted to try to keep a level head while using the form. There was something about the Super Saiyan transformation that brought every ounce of Athren's Saiyan blood to the center of the battle, when transformed he turned back into the brutal and ruthless warrior he used to be, the one he used to be proud of before he settled down on Earth. While he actually enjoyed the feelings the transformation brought forward, he knew that he wanted to be level headed against Arctic. He knew that eventually, no matter how big the gap between their levels of strength, Athren would have to fight him. While he also knew that there was absolutely no chance that he could close the gap even with a years time, he could prepare his techniques and his transformations to give him the best chance, emotionally, physically and everywhere in between. If he could at least remain calm and collected during his fight he predicted would take place in the near future, maybe he'd be able to outsmart Arctic at least once in order to get in some damage. If he was going to die, he at least wanted to leave a mark, he wanted to let Arctic know that there was at least one warrior, one Saiyan that could hurt him, even if it wasn't severe. The thing about it was, even Athren knew that there wasn't a chance for him to beat Arctic alone. No matter how hard he trained for it, he would have to double his level of strength and unlock a new transformation of some kind. It wasn't something that was very likely considering it had taken him thirty years to get to where he was today. He had already accepted his fate, he knew that he was going to die and that there was nothing that he alone could do to prevent that, but it was something that he accepted, he was willing to meet his end, fighting Arctic alone if he had to in a last ditch effort to save the planet. He knew his children were on Earth, he knew that they would likely share the same fate in time but there wasn't much he could do to prevent it. If he tried to get them off planet, Ayu would likely take issue with that and unless he told the world that they were his children, people wouldn't accept it. That was just as much as a risk, if people had known they were his kids, it was likely that they'd be under a constant threat instead of the one that was lingering over the Earth now and he refused to put them in more danger if the Earth managed to survive this whole thing. Currently, the village was rather quiet. Few of the villagers had been out and about since the rain had begin to cover the town. With the incoming rain, the skies were blackened as the dark clouds had rolled in and blocked out the sun. Most villagers had been in their homes doing whatever chores they could do on the inside, while a handful were in Athren's house for a meal. He too was present as all the training he had been doing was making him hungry. Athren has sensed Zaks approach from a long distance away, while he hoped that she would pass he had a feeling that it wouldn't be so simple. Not many came to this area and those who could sense Ki had often come to investigate his own power level. This was something he wanted today, or ever and given her record with Earth and her little invasion, he couldn't help but assume she was here for nothing more than he own personal gain. He had a thought that maybe she was here in regards to Arctic, it was likely Vegeta was under threat just as much as Earth was but that wasn't his concern. For now Vegeta would be a tool, if Arctic had gone there first it would provide time for Earth to prepare further for his arrival. While Athren wasn't exactly rooting for the Planet Vegeta to be destroyed, he currently didn't care much for it either. The villagers who had been outside in the rain would retreat to their homes after seeing the Queen of the saiyan's walking towards Athren's home. They knew that whatever this was, wasn't likely to go over well. Most of them had heard the stories of what happened when she brought her group of saiyan's to Earth and how they attempted to lock down a city, they couldn't help but assume that this was going to happen again, right here and right now. They had faith that Athren could protect them but they wanted to be far away from it. The power level had gotten closer, nearing the front of his house and it wasn't before long that he heard the knock on his door. All this time he spent preparing for a fight appeared as if it were going to pay off, because he couldn't help but want to remove this threat immediately. He had no reason to trust the Queen, he didn't believe her words before and he surely didn't have faith in her actions now. He wanted her removed from the village, never to come back. It was what he thought was best for the people, he thought it was what was best for him and the only answer he had to this issue was to fight. He was going to go all out, remove the threat and carry on with his training, although through all his thoughts, this was also an opportunity to get stronger. Before making his attempt to remove the threat, Athren's primary concern was that of the safety of his people. He knew that if this fight fully broke out here in the village, it would cause some destruction. If it were just the buildings, he could easily replace them but if it were the people, he couldn't resolve that until after Arctic. The lives of the town wasn't something he was going to risk so easily, he knew that the safest place for them was in the caves not too far, for he had created them specifically for the purpose of hiding and shelter in a worst case scenario like this. "Elsa, Come here!"Athren spoke to one of the friendly village women, one who had always taken charge of tasks and was respected by most of the people. Athren trusted her, he respected her and he was going to trust her with a very simple task. Elsa walked over to Athren, while the rest of her face didn't display it he could see the fear in her glossy eyes. She was concerned about her own life and everybody else around. Reasonably so. "Yes..?" She asked nervously, unknowing to what Athren was going to say next. "Once I engage the Queen, I want you to send everybody to the caves, make sure everybody is aware and every single building is empty. If there are people away, I'm sure they'll know NOT to come back right now." Athren's eyes were serious in their shade of turquoise as they looked deep into her own. His words were firm but kind, he wanted to get the message across perfectly before this thing completely exploded. "Do you understand?"With his question, she nodded her head. She knew her role here and she wasn't going to let him down. She had completely faith in him and trusted that he wouldn't put her in any excessive danger. "I understand Athren, Good luck." She gave him a quick hug before backing away as she was ready to do her duty. Athren stood firmly as he received the hug, he was still all except for the arch of an eyebrow. He couldn't think to himself how this wasn't about luck, it was all about training. He was ready for this, he was training for the biggest threat to the universe. He was more than confident that he could handle the Queen of the saiyan's, he had sparred with her before, he had left his mark on her and this time she wasn't going to be let off so easily. She wasn't welcomed here, he didn't care what she had to say, this village wasn't build for this. It was supposed to be a safe haven, a peaceful place where those didn't have to worry. It turned out Athren was wrong, but he wasn't going to let it slide. She was going to leave, one way or the other and that wasn't up for debate. With his Ki sensing ability, he could identify her exact body. He was so in tune that he could identify even the point where her fingertips were. He honed into it, ready to make his attack. The idea of talking already out the window as he was ready for a fight. He didn't care whether she had a prior warning or not, she wasn't welcome and that was the end of it. If his punch didn't send the message loud and clear, then he didn't know what would. He remembered long ago when she tried to train under him, she tried to test him and he was confident that history was going to repeat itself. She was going to lose this fight. With a burst of speed, Athren blasted forward towards the door, his super Saiyan two form amplifying his craving to fight. His Saiyan blood pumping through his veins, itching to take this to the next level. As he approached the door, his right fist was launched and send through its wooden construct. The door shattering to pieces as the chunks blew back towards the Queen herself with Athren right behind them, His right fist launching towards the Queen of the Saiyan towards the center of mass. He didn't know if the punch would land or not but if it did and she was easily taken out of the fight, that would nearly be the end of it but if she managed to dodge or block it, Athren would stand his ground and stare her down.
"You're NOT welcome here, THIS is your ONE and ONLY chance to leave." While it would be wise for her to do so, Athren couldn't help but think she wouldn't leave so easily. Although if she did, he would be completely taken by surprise but he was sure he was in for a fight. Maybe this wasn't the best course of action on his part but he didn't care. He had claimed the land and put it under his own protection and from what he saw from Zaks, she was deemed as a threat that he would threat. This wasn't her planet, this wasn't her land and as far as Athren was concerned she was trespassing. Being her only chance, Athren would give her the one moment to make up her mind. It was her one opportunity, there wouldn't be another and he wasn't going to take no for an answer. She didn't belong here, in fact she should be on planet Vegeta where she belonged. Her actions had made things even worse for the saiyan's on Earth and while Athren was also to blame, her being here constantly wasn't exactly the biggest help. The saiyan's had traded a ruler who focused on themselves for one that was never present. Who knew which one was worse for the Saiyan race but if Zaks had been the most powerful among them, she was leaving her planet absolutely defense less against the incoming threat.

Zaks had felt the villagers ki moving around just put of sight. It was slightly confusing at first but she had slowly started to realize what she was feeling from them. They were leaving the village all heading in the same direction in small groups with the only hint it was planned was the same destination. Zaks had been around long enough to know they were leaving becuess of her and it unsettled her alot. She had already sensed the strong fighting inside the building she was in front of and that had set her on edge almost as much as the familiarity of it.
"" Now I know I am not exactly friendly looking but come on… "" The woman joked to herself. Although… talking to yourself was a sign of a person going crazy and she was just walking out in the rain without a care in the world.
But regardless everything instantly changed in a heartbeat that made every instinct in Zaks body flare to life in one instant. The Saiyan she had felt inside the building powered up even further and she instantly realized that this figure was a Super Saiyan thanks to Shinzo and Callion. Being set on edge already was probably the only thing that saved her from taking his fist straight to her gut. There burst of power and speed in her direction set off her already screaming instincts. With roar of surprise Zaks instantly transformed into her strongest form of lunar demon in a flash of silver light that would lite up the entire village with its light. To anyone that seen the bright flash they would assume it was thunder with following crash as her unamed attacker fist caused when they struck her elbow.
Even with all the power she had collected from constantly fighting Zerori and Liari she felt herself bieng overpowered by her attacker. Her golden eyes widening in surprise of there power. ""Arghhh"" She growled as she was sent flying away from them with her arm tingling from the blow. The power difference wasn't enough to throw her completely off though and she manged to skid to stop only a few feet away. She immediately went into a fighting stance her teeth bared at her attacker. Looking at her attacker she could not help feeling… surprised. "" Who.. are you?""
Of course the man before her didn't awanser her question and instead gave her an ultimatum instead. Leave or else. It didn't take much to imagine what the or else meant ethier. She took a slight moment to take everything in as she observed him and the shock she felt at seeing him was still there. She knew a Super Saiyan when she saw one but this was different. It just felt different. The power it radiated was different along with a more aggressive feel to it then a regular Super Saiyan. But there was something else that shocked her and the worst thing to the Saiyan Queen was she didn't know what was shocking her.
Something pulled her to hate this man and she didn't know why she felt like she wanted to sink her teeth into him and rip his flesh out. It was a bizarre feeling to her even as she bared her teeth almost to do just that. But the wind pushed up her feather ear ring to the corner of her vision. What she instantly felt was shame for her hatred of a man she didn't know and what Tanya would think of it. She took a deep breath and spoke calmly. "" I don't understand you attacking some one with the intent to kill and acting like there at fault. "" As she spoke Zaks planted her feet into the ground and prepared to fight. After all her objective was in the building behind this man. The dragon balls and with them the hope of three races along with there entire worlds. This jackass would not stand in her way! She would rather kiss liari then give up now.
"" I promised callion I would find him the dragon balls. Some child that didn't even come when called to defend their own planet isn't gonna stop that"" With a growl Zaks aimed a blast not at athren but at the cave system nearby were she detected all the power levels that had fled earlier. It was easy to see they would be wiped out in an instant if she unleashed the attack. The message was clear. I see them. But no demand or attack came as the blast disappeared and Zaks lowered her fighting stance as she waited for the assailant to respond.
It was at this time shinzo and Gemini had manged to catch up to the queen both had transformed into there own strongest forms with seemed meager to the powers that faced each other. "" My queen"" both warriors shouted as they landed on both sides of her ready to fight to the death for her. ""What is going on?"" Gemini asked a look of confusion on her face as she had thought this was meant to be peaceful encounter.

Unfortunately for the Queen, she didn't quite take his words seriously and instead decided to try to talk to Athren about it. Wasn't he clear? She wasn't welcomed here and that was the end of it. Athren didn't give a shit about her purpose here, he didn't give a shit about who she was or what rank she was within the saiyan race, none of that mattered. The only thing that truly mattered to him at this point was that this was his home and that he was responsible for these people. She had to leave and she was going to leave no matter what he had to do. He wasn't going to sit back and take no for an answer, he wasn't going to sit here and have a conversation with her. With his punch colliding with her own, she had slid back and had managed to ask who he was. He couldn't help but shake his head at the thought that it should've been obvious. His demand was backed up by his powerful form and he spoke with authority, it shouldn't have taken much for her to figure out that he was the one who ran this place, the one who created it and laid claim to the mountain itself. Like she was the Queen of the Planet Vegeta, he was essentially the king of this land and his people respected him. It was clear to him that she didn't, she didn't respect the planet at all. She clearly seemed to think she could do whatever it was that she pleased on this planet. Invading cities and now coming here like she owned the place? It wasn't exactly something Athren was going to tolerate. If the roles were reversed, surely she'd have a similar attitude towards him if he were to go on Vegeta and act like this.
She had went on to try and talk more, at first it almost seemed like she was trying to de-escalate the situation but Athren didn't really give a shit. It really wasn't that difficult to understand that they simply weren't welcomed here. In fact, it was rather bullshit that she had kept on talking. Her remaining her was more than enough to escalate things further and her window to bring it down a notch had seemed to have been passing rather rapidly. He couldn't understand why she didn't just leave, he didn't even understand why she was here to begin with, but it was something that he was obviously going to need to deal with and at this point it seemed as if fighting was going to be the only way to get her gone and that something he didn't have an issue with at all. She said she didn't understand being attacked with the intent to kill but that wasn't quite what he did. If he wanted her dead, he would've made it much more obvious that killing her was his intent. He most likely would've shot an attack through the door, something that would've been capable of severely wounding her at a minimum but instead, he opted for a punch, it was her single warning that she clearly didn't take. "This is my home and this is my village and you aren't welcome here. If I wanted you dead, I would've done more than just throw a punch."He then listened to her speak a little bit longer, his patience had already been running thing. She had gone on to explain that she promised Callion that she'd find the Dragon Balls and she had also made a comment in regards to him being a child for not attending the little meeting on Earth. How hypocritical of her given the circumstances. First, he'd address the Dragon Balls. This one was an easy one to deal with. "So, not only do you come to a place that you're not welcome but you're also coming to try and take something that's mine? Yet you wonder why you're met with hostility. After your attack on Earth, you're lucky you've even made it this far. I'd say you can tell Callion that the Dragon Balls will be right here waiting to fix everything AFTER Arctic's dealt with but we're a little past that now." Athren's turquoise eyes remained locked on the Queen as his posture stood tall and strong. While he stood there, he observed her for any movements that may have indicated an attack and while he stood there, he could also sense two other power levels incoming. He couldn't help but assume that she wasn't alone. The Queen of Saiyans was bringing here guards, how cute was that? She had called herself the Queen of saiyans yet she wasn't willing to fight her own battles? He couldn't help but doubt that any saiyan on Vegeta even respected her. She was weak, and pathetic with NO saiyan principles. "Some child that didn't even come when called to defend their own planet..?" He repeated this, followed by a faint chuckle. He actually couldn't believe that she would say something like this. He was here training to fight Arctic, he was preparing night and day for his battle even though he had already known his fate. He wasn't going to back down from this fight, he was going to throw everything he had an Arctic and if that meant he was going to die trying, then so be it. This was something he had expected. He was going to die on his own terms, he wasn't going to spend his time running or hiding from the threat, he was going to face it head on. She had abandoned her people, abandoned her planet and left it defenseless without her. He knew that she must've been amongst the strongest if she was still on the throne and here she was on Earth, trying to play a hero instead of defending her own people. He couldn't help but shake his head, laughter continuing before fading out softly. "So you attended Callion's little meeting?"Athren paused for a moment. "Instead of attending his little gathering, you should be on Vegeta. Ready to defend your own home, your own planet. Instead, you're here, pretending to be a Queen to a race that doesn't respect you. You fail to even be present in the face of Vegeta's obliteration and have the nerve to tell me that I'm not ready to defend my own planet? You sure are a hypocrite." He was more than willing to fight and die for this planet as he spoke the words. He had an investment here, he had things to fight for and as far as he thought, the Earthlings and fellow defenders of the Earth had some respect for him. Whether or not that may be the case was something that could very easily been proven wrong. The Queen had now made many mistakes leading up to this point, not only did she trespass onto his land but she was also here to take what he had found, then decided to try and tell him he wasn't going to defend the planet? Unlike her, he wasn't going to fall in line. He'd be there when it mattered, he'd be in the fight and he was going to be ready for it. He wasn't going to just abandon the planet to it's fate. He wasn't going to let the Earth be vaporized, at least not until he died trying to prevent it. She was the Queen of the saiyan race, she was supposed to be on Vegeta where the Queen belonged. Yet she abandoned her people, she abandoned the planet and it Arctic went there, there was going to be nothing that could stop him. She was essentially risking her entire world while she remained on Earth surviving. She wasn't a warrior and she surely wasn't worthy of being the Queen. Even Braccus had more gut than her. He might've been a self centered prick most of the time but when it came to his saiyan pride and being challenged, Athren remembered that he'd stand up and fight his own battles if it came to it. It was at this point that the Queen had made her final mistake. She had raised her hand and lit up an energy sphere and pointed it towards the caves. Now THIS, is something that Athren wasn't going to let slide at all. Those people were innocent, they had nothing to do with this conflict, with the Dragon Balls or even the Queen's arrival. They were just innocent people trying to live their lives, finding safety in a small village out in the mountain. They didn't ask for anything like this. This action done by the Queen was MORE than enough for Athren to quit the small talk and get right to it. She may have lowered her hand, cancelled out the blast but the threat was all real and she had proven herself to be a threat within Crimson Rivers. There was NO choice, Athren was going to end it. It was in this moment that Athren clenched his fists tightly, his eyes narrowed as her action had pissed him off. How DARE she even TOY with the idea of hurting them. His Golden Aura flared up as he brought out more of his power, he tapped into his demonic side to bring it out to the surface, his golden aura slowly being tinted with the color of purple as black lines had appeared on both brows and drew down to his cheeks. With this his power amplified even further. He actions had been too much, her whole purpose of being here was wrong, she was entitled, she thought she could do whatever she wanted too without facing the consequences but the consequences of her actions were finally about to catch up to her. He wasn't going to let her walk away, he wasn't going to let her threaten his people, even in the slightest.
With his Demonic Aura now in effect with his Super Saiyan Two, he was at his max and ready to fight. He wasn't going to hold anything back. Though it was at this moment that two others had landed with the Queen. Of course, she wasn't going to fight any battles on her own. This was the saiyan Queen? Pathetic. It appeared that the stage was set for a three on one and Athren wasn't going to back down. It wouldn't be the first time in his life he was outnumbered. Though he quickly needed to devise a plan. He thought it best to try to eliminate the weaker two first and then narrow it down to a one on one. He figured that'd be the best way. While the two others wouldn't be able to deal a lot of damage to him easily, they would become a pain in the ass if they were capable of solid teamwork and that was something that he would much rather avoid. He was also tempted to bring his armor into the mix, but he decided against it for now. He was going to see how the situation was really going to play out first and if he could pull this off. Even if he couldn't though, he was going to try his damn best. Athren couldn't help but think that she didn't plan on leaving here without the Dragon Balls, she had them nearby just in case it got to this point. While she might've hoped that Athren was just going to roll over and hand them over, she was fully prepared to do anything required to get them but that wasn't going to fly. She was going to have one hell of a fight on her hands and he was about to make the first move. "The Queen of all saiyans, afraid to fight alone." He stated before finally making his move and pushing the fight forwards. With every intention of removing the two soldiers first, Athren would finally press his attack. His first target was the one that had been in a Super Saiyan state. Athren would quickly dash forwards and close the gap. His speed was rather incredible and when he reached the Saiyan he unleashed a devastating combination of attacks. First, he tossed a right hand towards the saiyans face, he would then immediately follow it up with a left hooked aimed towards the saiyans jaw. He would then bring up his right knee and attempt to Collide it with the Super Saiyan's gut. Though that wasn't going to be all, he wanted to be very quick and rapid with this first attack. He wanted to remove one of the numbers against him as quickly as he could. With his final attack towards the Super saiyan, Athren would use his right hand and bring out his Ki Claws, he'd unleash one heavy swipe with his Demonic Nova Slash towards the Saiyan's right thigh, he was hoping to remove the saiyan's leg completely and remove him from this fight entirely. The less numbers he had to deal with, the better off he was going to be. Immediately after that slash was dished out, Athren brought up his left hand and brought to fingers up and pointed it at the other Saiyan that wasn't the Queen. In his efforts to remove the number advantage immediately, Athren was going to try to remove the second saiyan as well. With a very rapid blast from his fingertips, Athren shot off his final Nova Impact and was aiming it to hit Gemini right through the heart. His movements were fast and he was confident but he was also more than prepared for the counter offensive by the two saiyans and the Queen herself if this should have failed. While he wasn't surprised it had come to this, it could've all been avoided if she would've just taken his warning and left his village. This village was nothing but peaceful and he was saving the Dragon Balls for the aftermath of Arctic. They were of no use yet. If somebody were to have wished for power and failed to stop Arctic, then they would've been unusable for a short time and they'd be no further ahead. Their best bet was to train and fight him head on, giving them everything they had and hoped it was enough. She had brought this on herself, she had brought this on her soldiers but what did she care? She had left the Planet Vegeta exposed, she had left it weak and defenseless and the countless saiyan lives that would be lost if Arctic arrived was going to be all on her. What kind of a Queen was she? Maybe she'd back down if her soldiers were removed, maybe she'd flee in terror, Athren didn't quite know, all he knew was at this point she had threatened his people and presented herself to be a very massive threat to his village and she had to be removed.

Even as she tried to talking to the warrior in front of her she could see it in his eyes. His stance and demeanor. He was far from even trying to listen to anything she said and was going even further in the opposite direction. The sudden shifts though minor to the point if you were not looking you would not even notice them suggested anger. Such anger that it was far more then she was just the Saiyan queen that everyone on earth hated. This felt personal and it showed by his reply to accusations of his attack so far. ohh sure she knew he had held back... to some extent and he could have stuck much harder then he had. But he had had given no warning and had been already powered up while she kept her form standard. She doubted he or anyone really knew how strong she really was thanks to her recent change after her fight with Liari. He was being dishonest...to her or himself.
"" Sure you could"" She has smirked at him and her eyes challenged his very statement as fact. Something she knew angered more then a few Saiyans.. and earth leaders. But something about the man Rubbed her the wrong way and if she was being at all honest with herself...she wanted him to hurt. She wanted him mad and frustrated. Maybe that was why even though she evoked Callions name she still insulted him with that damn same smirk she used for every fool she talked to. After all it had only taken his second sentence to realize he was just that a fool. She knew when a fool was driving themselves into a frenzy and nothing would get through to them.
"" I should have been on Vegeta? Why would you say that? AHH! Your making assumptions that I already knew of artic?"" It would make sense if the fool thought she already knew of the threat to her world. It made even further sense since he didn't even know why she was earth to begin with. After all he had not even given her time to explain herself even after she had meekly delivered herself to his door."" Well Past what? Acting like adults little boy?"" Now she knew she was the one acting like a food but she didn't care some thing inside of her was telling her he deserved every little bit of it.
Zaks was not honestly sure why she had egged on such a violent person. Was it that everyone had instantly assumed they could beat artic after all if they fought him as a team? Why not use the dragon balls to empower Callion and her so they for sure could win? Or why not wish Vegeta some were else so it never got destroyed to begin with? This man was no different then them being so short sighted and Acting like it was she that was the problem. She had learned a long time ago that optimism rarely held fact. Maybe it was the insufferable rain that made her mood sour to such a point.
"" A race that doesn't respect me?"" She asked almost in a bored tone as she watched the man in front of her but when she went to speak she was cut off by Shizo of all people. She allowed him partly since she needed a moment to think if she was being honest with herself. it was not like Zak was not frustrated with the Saiyan people or some of them anyway. Same time she could not really blame them ether. Zaks really had been an absent Queen due to the fact she needed to fix something they had neglected for far to long. But she would fix that as soon as she could.
-----Shizo POV------
"" Shut it."" He Snapped from behind the Queen and cutting even her off as she learned forward anger completely written on his face. How dare this Half breed who abandoned his home on Vegeta to come and build a life on earth of all people make any sort of accusation about how liked she was? Oh he knew there was discontent and he had even brought it up to the Queen. She already knew about this and was already taking action regarding it. The hard liners back on Vegeta wished to go back to the old ways? "" So what if there are some old fashioned warriors that only want to destroy? Sending our children to fight on foreign planets? To attack and kill entire worlds full of women and children. Not challenging warriors but damn children!""
Leaning forward his eyes locked directly on the man in front of him and they held not once ounce of regret in them or doubt."" If that is the pride they want to seek then ill kill them myself. At least then they would be worthy of a warriors death dying in battle vs another real warrior and not some scared child with there fathers gun."" Zaks had shown him a long time ago that honor held more then foolish pride. She was trying to teach the Saiyans that there pride should be as warriors and there honor. How could one say they were the strongest in the universe but killed the helpless for money? It was so easy to see that his man in front of him was one that didn't even know what was going on and ran his mouth far to much about what he didn't even know about.
Zaks had been the one to change Vegeta for something much better then it ever could have been on its on. He knew that more then any other after all he was her right hand man. She had personally trained him to become something he never would have become on his own and he would be forever grateful for that. The Day he had become a super Saiyan was still vivid in his mind and he had acheived in for one little reason. For himself. For his pride of being an honorable warrior who sought to become the strongest he could ever be and not some lackey to very enemy that was now trying to kill his people. Now this man who could not even control himself dare attack her? Just another shameful display of Saiyan pride.
-----Gemini POV----- This entire event had Her rattled and wishing that she could calm this down more then 10 notch's. The man was more then unreasonable and if she was being honest.. stupid. He constantly forced a fight and tried to act like he was in the right! Of course Zaks was not acting all the right herself and it had Gemini looking between the two powers timidly. Was this the Saiyan blood acting up? Even Shizo was joining the act and she could not help but reach out one hand to rest it on his shoulder in a calming Gesture. "" Shizo"" The demoness tried to say but was promptly ignored.
They were all so stupid! If they fought now and killed each other then who would stop artic? this man was a jerk and stupid beyond all belief! He had an ally in Zaks to defend his home but almost instantly started a fight and there was no doubt in her mind that he wanted to fight. After he attacked first another Saiyan! She wasn't even Saiyan and she knew the result of such an action! "" You are all damn fools" she whispered to herself. She only hopped she could stop any of them from doing anything to stupid.
----Zaks POV----
Zaks had been a little foolish she would have to admit to herself as she watched the man before her have the exact reaction she did not expect but secretly wanted when she threatened the villagers. His power soared even higher as he readied himself to fight her dispite that she had stopped threatening the villagers. She should have known as a Saiyan he would not back down and she should have known with how aggressive he was being that he wanted to fight.
""Scared to fight alone?"" She widened her eyes in surprise and shock as she didn't really want to fight at all! Or if she was being honest just the moral high ground she was standing on as she wanted to throttle this man. Not that he gave any of them time to think on it before he lashed out and attacked them. The rain only made it harder as he charged past her to go after her General first with a mighty flurry of blows. As she darted as fast as she could to help him she could only watch as the Saiyan General tried to defend himself blocking the first blow painfully getting instantly thrown of balance and unable to prevent the second one to his face that hit him cleanly. She put more Effort trying to catch up to him even as she heard shizo cry out in Pain. Luckily the next blow was intercepted by Gemini as she threw a Kick to intercept the knee to Shizos gut. While she did manage to stop the blow her foot felt like it nearly broken from the hit and she was sent flying away from the attacking warrior.
Shizo was helpless as she watched the man who didn't even give her his name pull Ki into his hand to form a claw fully intending to chop to limb from the Saiyan warrior. NOO! Zaks would not let one of her friends and allies die by some misguided fool! The man was turned away so he didn't see Zaks arrive until it was to late and her own power summoning her sword to her hands covered in KI greeted his in clash with the two Saiyan warriors Ki infused Blades sending sparks everywhere. As she flew past them before she could not stop herself with the speed she had been going in order to catch up to him. "" NOO"" She cried out as she watched the warrior already have a KI blast formed in his hand firing it at Gemini as Demon warrior tried to recover her footing.
-------Gemini POV-------------
Her foot hurt like hell after blocking his attack and she wanted to get the pain to stop but knew she was in danger. With trained reflex's She faced the enemy fully only to open eyes in fear! Shizo was flying past her even as the man fired a Large blast at her. Something deep within Gemini screamed """" NOOOOO"""" Gemini didn't even realize it was her own voice screaming for a moment or that she had fired a KI blast herself in blind fear. She didn't realize she had fired the biggest blast she had ever Fired off in her life all of her Mayko Power infusing her silver Lunar wave with dark purple Ki as it left her hand and flew connecting into her opponents own blast. Time froze for a moment in bright flash of light as her beam held and suddenly surged back to her.
She could only stare in horror as he doom raced to meet her before suddenly another Blast sailed over her shoulder and smashed into it with its own Green light. With wide eyes of almost blind panic she looked over only to find Shizo had recovered and joined her defense. The pure relief and joy of seeing him there made her smile before she turned back to there struggle. Shizo always protected her despite the fact she could kick his ass. Maybe when this was over she could finally tell the man how she really felt but that would have to wait. both warriors screamed as they pushed all the Ki that could muster to into there attack before suddenly a silver burning Light struck it.
Gemini and Shizo both felt relief when they saw Zaks burning Javelin joined there desperate defense easily forcing the Attack back at the Foreign Saiyan. The combined blast was insane and She had never seen so much power flying at some one before. They could do this! They could win!
-----Zaks POV-----
She had just barely added her own attack to her friends Ki attacks. The light was blinding to anyone within miles of the clashing powers and even further people could feel the shaking of the earth in protest. She had no doubt the villagers in the caves were in great danger as the earth shook and she felt for them. If the Warrior before her actually cared about them then he would have known the danger they would be in if they fought this close to them. hell instead he assumed he could just bowl over Zaks and her allies with ease. As much as she felt for them she would not allow her friends to die for one delusional man and save his village instead. "" GEMINI SHIZO! STAY ALIVE NO MATTER WHAT!"" Zaks screamed to her allies.
She finally realized something about the warrior before her. He was scared for all the talk he was giving and and insults he spat at her. His Fear and lack of control was the reason they were fighting right now. No sane man would be acting like this unless there was a personal Grudge between them and Zaks had never met him before in her life. Regardless the fight was on now and she was gonna win it for the Sake of the entire universe. Vegeta and nameks rebirth. For earths defense. For little Ren and May. Zaks had countless reasons to fight and not to mention she had just gotten engaged to the most wonderful person of all. Who probably was gonna kill her when she came back covered in blood from her wounds.
Even with the clash happening between them she could not help but wonder what this man was thinking? He knew she was gonna help defend earth and by extension his village. Why would he throw away an ally of her magnitude? Was his rage or was it despair that was so deep he could not see reason?

ABAS stared down from above as two titans clashed. His presence here, as timely as it would seem to others, was mere happenstance. ABAS had been flying north back to Shen's dojo when he sensed power levels of immense proportions. While it didn't quite measure up to what he expected Arctic to be, they were nonetheless shaking the very Earth. It was only natural for the curious bio-android to scope out the situation. But when he got there, he found just about the worst case scenario. The Sayian Queen Zaks, and the ever-reclusive Athren were squaring off above Crimson Rivers. Two of this planet's strongest defenses against Arctic, very much looking like they were trying to kill each other. The sheer lack of logic on display made ABAS' head hurt, but there was something entrancing about the whole situation. It was...stimulating for the bio-android to be this close to fighters of this caliber. Sure, he had fought Callion and Liari when they heavily restricted their power, but that was nothing close to this. ABAS could feel the winds buffeting at his skin, the sharp smell of ozone in the air, and the waves of ki and pure force that shook him down to his very soul. Mpre than that, he could feel the programming of the Blacksite gnawing at the base of his skull like a starved animal. If it had its way, ABAS would already be forcing himself in the middle of the contact, charging at both Athren and Zaks' contingent in an effort to eliminate these threats to the planet. After all, the Blacksite didn't care if he was over-matched, or if there was an extremely low chance of him even contributing in the defense of the planet. ABAS' role was to neutralize threats to Earth, pure and simple. And yet....ABAS had grown strong since those early days where the Blacksite hung over his thoughts like some malevolent spectre. Through his encounters with Liari, Callion, Liek, Opherla, Ryuji, Pran, and even Zaks and Athren themselves, he had grown immensely strong in both body and spirit. He was very nearly his own person now, with his own thoughts, ambitions and goals. So while it was difficult, and yes, painful to resist his programming, he just about was able to do it. So instead of a near-suicidal frontal charge into the melee, ABAS merely waited, hidden amongst the clouds above with his power suppressed to minimal levels. After all, he had personally met both warriors before, and had the chance to evaluate their personalities. He KNEW that neither of them would listen to his pleas to stand down. So instead of letting his plea fall on deaf ears, he might as well keep the element of surprise in case he had to intervene. Unfortunately, ABAS' nice little plan was upset by Zaks escalating the encounter. She may have cancelled the blast aiming at the villagers, but it was too late. The delicate balance ABAS had achieved snapped like rotten thread, and all of the sudden the urge to reveal himself became overpowering. [Current Power Level: 532,100!!] In a flash, ABAS appeared not far away from the two fighters, placing himself neatly between them and the cave network housing all those tiny little kis. He didn't make any motion to attack, but merely stared silently at the group of fighters and reached out towards their minds. "I will do my best to contain any....collateral damage from this fight. I think it a stupid waste of resources with Arctic on his way, but I am not strong enough to intervene. As such, I won't interfere on either side." ABAS thought, the barest trace of disappointment in his voice. The bio-android didn't have any good feelings about Athren, but at least respected the man as a warrior and a leader. No matter his personal feelings on Athren's refusal to train him, that much he could acknowledge. Zaks, however, was someone he had looked up to for some time. The Queen had become somewhat of a mentor to ABAS after the Twomey incident, going so far as to personally train him under gravity. She seemed a good to leader to him as well. He would have thought she would know better than to engage in all of this foolishness, no matter the cause. Nevertheless, he kept to his word and backed off a good distance until he was right in front of the cave system. ABAS stoked his ki into a full blaze, ready to intervene if there was any more....demonstrations. While this fight wasn't something Athren was expecting, it was something that he was preparing for due to the oncoming threat that Arctic had been predicted to bring to the planet. In terms of being ready for that fight, Athren didn't feel like there was much more room to grow, after all he had tapped out all of his training equipment. His Super Heavy weights were no longer effective to help him with training, his gravity chamber was no longer effective, there wasn't much left in terms of training assistance. The only thing he had to rely on to get stronger was his own natural training methods which he knew wasn't going to be enough, he needed more. While he hated the thought of this fight and the place it was taking place, and he even hated the queen for her entitlement, she was providing him with one thing. She was putting him in a position to get stronger, to get much more powerful than he was previously and that would be something that would be very useful in the fight against Arctic. As of now, even with Arctic planets away, Athren could sense that he didn't even come close to his power, his attacks would be futile for the most part and he'd likely lose his life in the battle to come. It was something he wasn't going to deny and he was more than willing to except it, his only hope was that he'd manage to leave a mark and at least stall the Changeling even just a little bit.
Whether or not that was going to be the case was yet to be determined, firstly he had to deal with the situation on hand in his village. It was more than enough to annoy him that she was here, she hadn't been welcomed and now she had threatened his people and brought reinforcements. It had proved that she was nothing more than a coward. She wasn't willing to fight her own battles and instead had others do it for her and secondly, she had proven that she wasn't fit to be a queen. She had been preaching about how Athren didn't answer the call to protect his home but he was right here, he was more than willing all while she abandoned the Planet Vegeta and all those lives without even a second thought. The Saiyan race has deserved better than her, they needed a leader that would lay down their lives along side them but Zaks, she was clearly stuck in her own head. She thought she was something that she evidentially wasn't. She wasn't fit to be a leader, she wasn't fit to be a queen. He could see right through her attitude, her lies, her false sense of confidence. She was nothing more than a fake. Athren knew that once she was removed from power, somebody much more strong willed would likely step up and lead the Saiyan people, defend them and be present for them, unlike her.
With his strike against the soldiers leg not landing and his second attack being immediately countered as well, Athren had found himself in quite a situation and his option to fight the clashing beams was simple. He could either put everything he had into it and try to overpower it with a beam struggle or he could simply let it run its course. While neither option was the best, he wanted to reserve his energy for the duration of the fight. If it had been a one on one, Athren wouldn't have hesitated to put everything he had into his technique and overwhelm the Queen but she was relying on her soldiers and with the numbers advantage, he needed to play it on the safe side, he needed manage his energy and keep his stamina up for the long run. With the clash happening, Athren didn't fight it when all of them joined in. The combined attacked pushed back against Athren's own beam and he braced himself for impact. Receiving the hit Athren's clothing would tatter and tear as the attacks consumed him and pushed him back, though he managed to stay balanced as his feet slid across the dirt. By time the attack was through, Athren's shirt would've been blasted off, his body would've been steaming and had signs of minor damage, but nothing life threatening. If anything, this whole thing was making his blood pump, making him crave the fight even more. He wanted to kill them all, even more now then before. They were cowards who hid behind their numbers, coming to territory they didn't own and act like they ran the place.
With the queen relying on numbers, Athren's strategy was going to have to change. None of them were capable of defending themselves against him and he knew they'd continue to rely on numbers and if that was the case, he was going to play things more defensively. He'd let them come to him, he'd let them press the attack and he'd press his power advantage that way. Even if he was overwhelmed, he knew he had a backup plan in mind. He was going to play it carefully, keeping to physical strikes and only using his techniques for the defensive. If anything, he was going to try and bait them to push a harder offensive. Just about at the same time he was going to push in and start making his attempt to dish out some hard physical blows, an unlikely visitor arrived. Athren had sensed him floating above the village and assumed he was observing, but he didn't think that ABAS was going to lower himself down to the ground nor get involved. It turned out, that the Saiyan demon was very wrong, though ABAS wasn't making himself known for the reason Athren had thought he was. Athren has assumed that ABAS was going to get in the fight, and while this would've been welcomed to show the Queen she isn't anything without her numbers, Athren wasn't going to complain either.
Athren's eyes went on to glare at ABAS as he took a moment to rest, he wasn't going to expend energy yet unless he had too, but he was going to listen to whatever it was that ABAS had to say.
ABAS declared that he wasn't here to get in the way of the fight and that absolutely made sense, Athren could sense his power and he wasn't even close to being on par with the queens little soldiers. If he were to get in the way of this conflict, it was likely that he would've been killed. Though this solution of ABAS has also brought another problem to Athren's plate, it was almost as if he didn't have enough to worry about in the situation he had found himself in. While ABAS had said that he'd make sure no innocent lives were lost, Athren would give him a nod of respect but what about ABAS' life? He was in the village and not a threat, his life was now Athren's responsibility. This wasn't something that was negotiable either. Whether it be a stray blast or intentional by Zaks, Athren wasn't going to let ABAS die. While the reassurance of keeping the villagers safe was pleasant, Athren didn't want to have to look after somebody else. He already had his hands full and it was going to be very difficult to focus on yet another factor within his village during this fight.
While he hoped ABAS would be able to stay true to his word, he hoped that it wouldn't come to the requirement that he would need too. If the people and ABAS would stay out of this fight entirely, It would be one less thing for Athren to worry about. Briefly, he couldn't help but think of how ABAS and the woman had come to his village seeking training, and while he still firmly believed that he made the right choice in declining the request, he couldn't help but wonder how strong ABAS would be if he didn't. Would he be here, side by side to even out the numbers or would his role in this be the exact same? It was a question that would never be answered, Athren couldn't change the past, nor could he change his answer. With ABAS moving out of the way and positioning himself between the fight and the villagers, it was time to focus back in on Zaks. She was the threat, and her and her little soldiers would get all of Athren's attention. His eyes started towards the queen and her followers as he took his fighting stance once more. His breathing steady, he was focused, prepared and ready to follow this fight through to the very end. The Queen had her chance to avoid this entire thing, but she thought she was queen of everything, she chose this fight, and she chose the death of her and her soldiers by staying.
Though while Athren glared, he couldn't help but wonder if this was really the fall of his people. He had only been driven to leave due to the former leadership but he was raised as a Saiyan, he fought along side the rest of them in many battles. They had their pride, their honour and it was something that used to mean something but now? It didn't seem to matter at all. Most saiyan's would embrace the chance to prove their own strength, to fight their own battles but if their leader even failed to do such a thing, where would that leave the rest of them? Her people were defenceless, completely outclassed by the incoming threat of Arctic and she was nowhere to be found. She was content to be on Earth, acting like she had ruled this planet instead and it was disgraceful. If she had been a true warrior, a true queen, she would've sat on her own throne until the very end, giving her all and her last breath to make sure that Vegeta went out in a final stand, but that wasn't existent. Planet Vegeta would be erased, without a final stand, without much of a defence and countless Saiyan lives would be lost without even the slightest bit of resistance. She had proven herself to be far worse that Braccus, even he would have the spine to fight through to the end. He was at least a Saiyan who retained their principles.
As the rain continued to pour down on them, Athren kept his eyes locked towards the threat. There had been some distance in between them now and he knew he'd have more than enough time to react appropriately to anything coming his way. He was sure they'd push the attack together and if that was the case he'd focus on avoiding the hardest of hits. It was obvious that the soldiers couldn't do any damage on their own, so if he stayed focused on avoiding Zaks attacks, he'd do just fine. He would just need to wait and see how they were going to play this. Even if she had decided to call them off, he was absolutely going to call her bluff. He knew they'd jump in at any moment to try and save their leader, they had displayed that already. The three of them were powerless without the other and even the queens power wasn't enough to take down Athren alone. The Saiyan race was truly throwing away their pride, their principles for what? It was very likely the end of many planets, the end of countless lives and if the battles that were on their way were to be recorded in history, the Saiyan race would no longer be respected, their warrior heritage, their feats, their history all gone due to the actions of a few. It was too late to change that and it was likely too late to save them as a whole, but Athren was going to be sure that he made it out of this, he was going to make damn sure that at least one Saiyan would be known to have stood against the threat, to have embraced his principles, his pride and his culture right to the very end.
His last fight wasn't going to be here, there wasn't a chance in hell he was going to die like this! He had gone through far too much, trained too hard to be defeated by the cowards that came before him! He had to believe that he was going to win, he had to believe that he would have his chance to redeem the Saiyan race in the face of what the queen was destroying. There had to be at least one of them willing to embrace their heritage, and by the end of this Athren would be the one to do so, he just knew it. The queen would lay dead at his feet aside the corpses of her soldiers, the blood running across the ground as the rain pushed it to the lowest soil. His aura flared up once more as he braced himself for the fight to come, the three warriors opposite him now had the opportunity to make their move as Athren remained focused and ready. This fight was going to mean so much more than just who got the dragon balls or who was going to survive.
This moment was going to be a moment in Saiyan history that could change everything forever and Athren couldn't even begin to think what would happen if he had killed the queen. The respect he'd gather from any saiyan's that managed to survive, it wouldn't be rivalled. They'd view him as a leader, they'd place their trust in him, they'd see him as the one to sit on the throne.
It wasn't something he wanted, but he couldn't help but smirk. It would be something that reminded him of the past, as he was always respected by his peers. He had something inside of him that no other Saiyan had, he had a determination and a power that had allowed him to push through nearly all that stood before him and it wasn't going to fail him now. No matter what he had to endure, no matter what he had to push through he was going to come out on top, he was going to teach this false queen what it meant to be a Saiyan warrior. She was going to feel his wrath and his full power. Her soldiers couldn't save her from it and while they could stall, it wasn't going to be enough. They'd wear out quickly under Athren's full power and eventually, they'd leave Zaks in a one on one fight and when it came to that point, Athren would make damn sure that Zaks ever regretted coming here, she'd regret leaving the Saiyan race to perish without a fight, she'd damn well regret it all.

Zaks breathing was already slightly strained from the effort of this Battle and her temper was flaring up at this man that stood before her. His hypocritical bullshit. He didn't even challenge her and just tried to murder he allies in front of her as if she was just gonna stand there. The man was no different then any other earthling she had met. So high on there own high horse they could not accept anything they do as wrong or that some one could have just as a valid reason for fighting. A chuckle escaped her mouth before she could stop herself and she tried to cover her mouth to stop anymore coming out. Was it this world that bred such weakness?
As she tried to ponder the Question she felt a ki signature that she hadn't felt for a little bit ever since she started her search for the Dragon balls. The strange mix of feelings that she got from this ki made ABAS stick out like a sore thumb amongst any other being she had ever felt. An instant fear for him reared its head as she wondered what he was doing here! This area was dangerous thanks to this buffoon that was just trying to murder anyone without a valid reason. But her fear did not get to live very long thanks to ABAS speaking directly into her mind and tell her his intentions. Not that it still didn't worry her a bit as she had been here peacefully as well. "" Yeah well i didn't choose this fight he did when he tried to kill me then my to allies without a Valid reason"" She thought to the Bio android.
The truth of it made Zaks blood boil at the thought of him attacking Shizo and Gemini with the idea to kill them. This was the 4th time earth had betrayed the Queen... and the more she thought about it the more angry she got. This time the earth was more then just trying to kill her or her family. this time earth had decided to kill off the Saiyan race and try to lay the Blame at her feat. it was something she could not longer stand for it was Ridiculous. She didn't care that it was not there king or there Government attacking her. She wasn't so foolish not to realize this was the other warrior that had fought Liari most likely. She could see his smile as he watched her and it infuriated her to no end as she knew Exactly what he was thinking. He was happy he was gonna try and murder them in cold blood.
The man was stronger then them and already shown how twisted his mind set was in his actions as tried to taught her about not fighting alone. If he wanted to fight her alone then why had he attacked them instead of her? Who was he fooling? "" You know... It seems to be such a common trait amongst the earthlings to never take reasonability for there actions."" Her eyes looked past him as she allowed her focus to shift away from him. "" To place every blame on others and act like there the victim. "" Suddenly her eyes focused back on the man before her along with a Grin appeared on the monarchs face. "" I wonder what justification is running through yours? Have you been here so long that you are no different? ""
Zaks was done with Games of this planet and thanks to the man before her she understood something that had escaped her for such a long time. Hate. She had been angry before enough to want to kill others before but she had never truly hated some one or something like she did at this moment. "" You cry that you have to fight all of us but really ... didn't you attack them first? Matter of fact... We really haven't attacked you a single time. "" The Saiyan warrior spoke with such Venom in her voice that one could almost see it dripping from her mouth if they looked hard enough.
Suddenly she raised her sword preparing to strike Athren her anger coursing through her as every angry though made there way to the surface. The image of her daughters body at the hands of the humans and all of the saiyans that had died at there child assailants. The warriors eyes were parallel with the blade and unlike before there was no kindness or restraint in them. "" You humans are all the same.. Liars"" She had made her declaration and her decision as she moved forward as to rush Athren only to stop her body trembling in Pain.
------------------------Gemini------------------------------
She had nearly died! The strange man had attacked with almost no warning trying to kill her and Shizo for what? She understood Zaks had threatened the villagers but not as a legitimate ante threat with any intention to hurt them. Zaks wouldn't and anyone who knew her would not she would not do that. She had the Saiyans hold back in north city if anyone actually didn't believe the masses on how the Saiyans had been brutal conquerors. she had seen the reports by the humans and how twisted they were from the truth. They shied away from the fact that they had killed the princess of the Saiyan empire who was there trying to make peace. They never once showed that the princess died shielding there people from from the attack that had taken her life. No Every bit of the blame was placed on the cruel Saiyans and Zaks.
But She still could not let Zaks loose herself like this even if she was perfectly validated in her feelings to earth. She had noticed ABAS but until this moment had chosen to ignore him as she tried to calm her heart. But now she needed him and it was the only way she could keep her promise to Zaks. A promise to never let her lose control like she did in north City and Gemini could tell she had lost control completely. Not that she could blame her as her own blood was pumping in her Veins to punish this earthling.
Gemini knew that despite how calm Zaks was normally she was still as hot headed as any Saiyan but she had literally hundreds of years to learn to control herself. Zaks Always put her people first to the point it was her biggest fear to fail them but at this moment all that Experience was out the window and the Queen wanted to her anyone. In her current state she would not target the villagers but she would no long make sure her attacks wouldn't hit them ether. in the moment Zaks would even feel a sick satisfaction that they died thanks to the mystery warrior fighting with them right her. But later the Queen would realize what she had done and how she didn't try to de-escalate it. she would cry when she thought no one was looking and beat herself up. Zaks was far to kind hearted for the task she had taken up and Gemini hated how the earth was turning her into a hate filled being.
Looking at the warrior try and preserve his power made Gemini filled with anger as well but she only felt a little bit she knew compared to what Zaks felt. Taking a deep breath the Demon warrior moved closer to Zaks and waited. What she had to do would come soon.. and she knew Zaks would understand... later. She hopped Shizo loved her enough to back her up.
She was not disappointed as shizo moved in front of Zaks distracting her so she could do her plan. A plan she hated to do but... well she had no real choice at all did she? Besides.. She had tried to get her to train her tail in the past... how was it her fault that she quit before she had mastered it?
----------------------Shizo---------------------------------------------
Her near brush with death had him ECXITED! He felt his blood rushing past his ears as he took in what had just happened. the blow to his face still stung and he swore his tooth was lose but a grin was slowly making his way across his face. He didn't really care about the creature that had appeared no to far from him as he could squash him like a bug if he interfered. No he was far more interested in the Saiyan before him and could not help but smile at the Queens taunts. She wasn't wrong either but some were in the back of his head he could not help but be slightly angry at her as well. She had let the earthlings off far to easy and even now not a single one tried to fulfill the promise they made to her.
Shizo had been there when Zerori had made the promise to help find who was responsible and since then not one word from anyone on earth with any information. The general who had leaked the info still was in power and not one person had been charged with a crime. Earth had proven itself to be two faced over and over again. Even now this Saiy... no earthling it was no different. he acted like she challenged him despite giving her no chance to explain herself at all. by his action Shizo could see the man understood what Zaks was doing but had decided she needed to die. ohhh Shizo had seen countless warriors like him. He knew his type.
Looking into the mans face he could tell the man had accepted death and only fought for some version of pride or honor. Well...Honor was a stretch. Zaks had given enough evidence that she wanted to help the earth and by extension his Village. He was sure he used Zaks earlier threat as an excuse to fight but really any buffoon could see that Zaks had not followed through with it at all. he would admit...to himself she really hadn't had time to but she had been far to busy saving his and Gemini's life.
right when he thought the battle was about to heat up and Zaks was gonna take the fight to the other warrior he saw Gemini step or float forward. She looked at him and mouthed help me her eyes full of sadness as she beseeched him with her eyes. it took him a moment before he realized what she was asking him to do and his eyes widened in shock. it was betrayal! He bared his teeth before he remembered that same promise he had made her and Zaks.
he clenched his fist in anger and shook as he tried to figure out what he wanted to do. He wanted to fight just as much as Zaks did but his promise to her outweighed it or was it the fact the love of his life was the one asking him to do it? He didn't know even as he moved in front of Zaks despite her warning growl at him. He could just picture the glare she was giving him from behind and it almost shook his resolve as he locked eyes with the warrior across the way.
----------------------------------------------Zaks Pov-----------------------
Zaks was so ready to charge when Shizo stood in front of her making stop before she growled at him much like an animal would. he knew better then to get between her and the man across the way. "" What are...ughh what? Gem?"" While she had tried to ask Shizo what he was doing he had not been looking at Gemini who had came up behind her and grabbed her tail of all things. The pressure was not full and it did not weaken her but she knew Gemini could change that faster then she could react. It was so hard not to just back hand Gemini or attempt to even as she looked behind her into the eyes of her Niece. "" Explain yourself now...Gemini"" She growled out.
Her reply shocked her to her core and made the boiling in her veins freeze. "" You made me promise to not let you loose control again... besides... this fight will only hurt Vegeta wont it? This jackass will fight here on earth when artic comes. killing him now despite being justified doesn't allow you to bring Vegeta back any easier. We already agreed with Callion to save the dragon balls until after we defeated Artic."" At the last part she had to squeeze slightly harder as she felt Zaks tried to pull a fast one and pull her tail from her grasp. Earning a glare from the demon.
"" Yes he deserves death... he just tried to commit murder multiple times. Yes he is weakening earths defenses by doing what he is doing right now. Yes he is betraying the very people of his village by removing a defender since he cant control himself. Its EASY TO SEE ZAKS! LOOKING DOWN! I bet he cant even control that form...much like you could not control your current one originally. "" She pointed to one of the houses down below with her chin. it was a modest home and it took Zaks a moment to realize it was not the home she had pointed at but one of the rooms. A room that had children's toys in it and Zaks felt her blood freeze as she realized the fight had shattered the window littering the child's room with glass. it would take great effort by the parents to make sure it was safe again for the boy or girl who lived in it.
Looking back at Gemini Zaks felts slightly angry and her as she felt anger at her using such a low blow to get her to stop her attack. It made her even more angry that it had worked since Zaks could only picture Ren living in the room and getting hurt as she ran around the room. The anger slowly reseeded and she looked back at the warrior before them with eyes that still held much anger in them but now also held some semblance of sanity to them. "" ABAS come here will you? I promise I wont hurt you.""
If ABAS listen or was allowed to by the Rampaging warriors Zaks would wait until he arrived before her and stared into his eyes carefully. "" Earth has betrayed me for the last time.. all alliances for this planet are off."" She waited a moment to let that sink in before she reached behind herself and pulled out a leather Sack that made a soft clinking sound from whatever was inside of it. She would place it in his hands slowly back away from him the entire time Gemini never letting go of her tail. Honestly the Young demon had no idea what her master was doing but she did realize what the bag was.
Taking a deep breath the three warriors from Vegeta let the water from the rain wash over them before turning away from it all. The village, ABAS, and the earthling who was consumed by there own blood lust to the point he was hurting his own people. First Zaks powered down her hair losing its silver glow and returning to its jet black that now hung limply around her heavy with the rain water. "" ABAS tell Callion i am sorry but I wont defend this world any longer.""
The words were final full of sadness with a hint of fury underneath it all. "" here are the earths Dragon balls i have collected so far he promised to bring Vegeta back didn't he? I expect him to keep his promise."" She really did expect him to keep that promise as she turned away from ABAS and in the direction of her ship."" I thought I could fix the mistakes of the past by bring back the cerulean home world and bringing back all the people from Liaris attacks. But I should have realized that earth didn't deserve it."" her words slowly filled with venom as she stared at the bio android.
She was sad to a degree she knew what she was doing was foolish but honestly she no longer cared. She hated the earth and its people so much that she could not pretend to not anymore. They had murdered her daughter and now they betrayed her people. She knew ABAS didn't and she knew Callion hadn't but two people of an entire world didn't justify what they did. She knew she did in north city was understandable but not justified. She hadn't given he people time to do anything about it before she invaded not that she cared to much about that now. She intended never to come back to this dirtball again...unless she wanted to burn it.
She was repulsed by the thought but she also accepted that was exactly how she felt. As Gemini let go of her tails she started to power up to fly off into the distance. "" Well warrior you wanted to kill me in cold blood so bad... you have the perfect chance to do so now."" She knew she was leaving herself open but that was ok she would wait until Gemini and Shizo left so she could make sure they survived before she took off after them.
As she flew away she started to make plans for the future. There were ship rockets she could put on her ship to make the travel home quicker and she could fight there to protect the planet. She knew she was going to her death... she actually counted on it. her regret was gonna be leaving Tanya on earth. but her Wife did not deserve to die and she justified it to herself that they would need a queen here on earth to greet the survivors.

Contrary to his expectations, this fight wasn't going in Athren's favor at all despite his superior power.
ABAS watched as the warrior disappeared under the combined force of Gemini, Zaks, and Shizo. While it was obvious that the Sayian hadn't chosen to waste ki on trying to overwhelm their combined blast, that still didn't mean the decision was without its consequences. He couldn't be sure without the visual acuity afforded by his containment suit's sensors, but judging by his ki signature Athren had taken significant damage in that last attack.
So a combination of weaker fighters can be this effective. It seems working together is allowing them to become much more than the sum of their parts. Unless something major changes here, Athren will be overwhelmed.
ABAS wasn't quite sure what to feel about that whole idea. Sure, Athren's decision to refuse him training was based on pure logic, but it had also denied him the opportunity to grow even more quickly as well as subjecting him to Shen's.....tender mercies. He could not deny the effectiveness of such training of course, but he would have much preferred to not have been brought to the brink of death multiple times a week for months. No matter how objectively ABAS tried to view the whole situation, that much he could not deny his emotional side.
However, he was abruptly broken out of his ruminations by Zaks' mental message. He made a mental note to redouble his mental training when this whole situation had passed: the idea that his mental barriers could be breached so easily made him rather uncomfortable.
"If you excuse me Queen Zaks, so what? Arctic is on the horizon, and will likely be making landfall on Vegeta or Earth itself in a matter of days. No matter who attacked who, or what happened, it is all of our responsibility to keep the strongest among us alive. Or else Arctic will sweep over the universe killing us all. Grudges, even deadly ones, can be settled after the threat has passed. If you, Zaks, Athren, or anyone else dies, none of your people get revived, nor any Earthlings that die in the conflict. This I cannot allow."
ABAS simply couldn't understand why all of Earth's strongest was dead-set on killing each other before Arctic even raised a finger. Even if the grudge was deadly, surely there were more important things to worry about! If what Callion said was true, then it was likely Arctic would just destroy the whole Earth from orbit with about as much emotion as swatting a fly. The clarity of thought was something ABAS could admire, but if Earth exploded, nobody got what they wanted. Now was the time for compromise, not action.
ABAS' metaphorical headache only deepened as Zaks' little drama continued, spitting venom at Athren and accusing him of initiating the whole conflict. Thankfully Gemini restrained her before it got really serious, but the sheer lack of critical thinking on display made ABAS's tail ache.
"If you will excuse me again Queen Zaks, I believe I can shed some light on the situation. From what I've seen, Athren is fiercely defensive of his people here. I don't know how this all began, but it is likely that he simply saw you as a threat for showing up on his doorstep. That, of course, does not excuse him if he began the conflict, but there is a reason reasonable self-defense is baked into many law codes of both the USD and Earth. One cannot be expected to have all the details in such a situation." ABAS explained, raising his voice so that all present could here. "And besides, you all quite literally did just attack him. So that line of thinking is illogical." ABAS said, gesturing pointedly to Athren's heavy battle damage. He had nothing against Zaks, but he could not deny reality.
It seemed that with Zaks' incapacitation by Gemini, the conflict was beginning to wind down. ABAS, of course, didn't relax even a molecule of his ki, but the bio-android was beginning to cautiously hope the whole business could be done with soon. He had even allowed himself a spare thought to consider what he would do after this whole debacle when Zaks called him over.
Handing HIM, someone who she KNEW was a puppet for the government she so hated, a bag of artifacts allowing for near-infinite power.
Breaking off the Vegeta-Earth treaty, when Earth-Sayian unrest was already boiling over into violence.
Saying she would do EXACTLY what everyone told Callion not to. In a meeting, she was present to hear all of the (very obvious) downsides of such a course of action.
And then beginning to fly off, turning her back to a rampaging Super Sayian Athren.
ABAS was shocked into silence for almost an entire 5 seconds by the sheer stupidity of what Zaks had just done. It wasn't even that she was working against Earth or its people, at least not directly. It was just that every move she had just made was not only the worst possible from ABAS' perspective but also worked directly against her interests. Were all standards so idiotically illogical when their emotions were heightened?
It is just good that I am not wearing my containment suit right now. If the Blacksite caught wind of these "Dragon Balls" and what they are capable of, I might have just lost my chance at freedom right there. Or, at least, the chances would shrink to an infinitesimal probability.
ABAS enhanced his voice even further, allowing it to reach the group's ears even as they gained distance on him. "Queen Zaks. You realize I am bound to repeat what you said to my masters. If you truly mean to break off our alliance, then it is likely that many Sayians on Earth will die from the heightened tensions, and most of the remainder will be kicked off the planet with only the clothes on their back. And if the treaty is broken, the Ki-Wielder Task Force has no reason to protect them. And I physically cannot disobey their orders either." He warned. "I am not trying to threaten you Queen Zaks, but this is what will happen. And I cannot stop it."
ABAS could practically hear the reporters and television hosts repeating what had happened here today to the entire world, until the very Earth itself burned with the hot fires of prejudice and hatred. Of course, ABAS didn't really care about that part, but maybe the idea of it would convince Zaks to reconsider her course of action?
"I feel I also must point out that everything I pointed out to Callion still holds true for you. If he is telling the truth, you cannot stop Arctic alone. Nobody can. In the absolute best-case scenario, you might scratch him slightly and stall him for an hour or two before Vegeta is destroyed. Any Sayian that would escape already likely has from your earlier telepathic message, so that hour or two will likely not even mean anything for your people. Such a death would be pointless: you would die for people you cannot save and that will be wished back anyway with the Dragon Balls after all of this is over." ABAS explained, his eyes boring into the Sayian Queen's back. Thunder crackled and twisted over
"In the absolute worst case scenario, you won't even make it to Vegeta in time to do anything. In either scenario, one of the strongest warriors against Arctic will be unable to fight him when he gets here. And in that scenario, the Sayians will die. Permanently. Wouldn't it be better to stay on Earth and fight him here? It gives us all the best chance of success."
It occurred to ABAS that he was, in essence, pleading for his life for the first time. While he personally didn't care all that much for Earth or its people, he was bound here by his failsafes as if by iron chains. If Arctic destroyed the planet, he would die with it.
Nevertheless, even if Zaks decided to ignore him there were some...benefits of coming here. ABAS opened the sack to reveal four yellow-gold globes within, shining with a mysterious light. ABAS had no idea how many of them there were, but there were at least seven if the stars indicated some kind of numbering. And they were his, at least for the moment.
All of this power....all mine! I could....be free. Free to be my own person, free from the constant threat of the failsafes. All I need, is to complete the set....
Taking advantage of the fact that combat had ceased, ABAS mentally called his containment suit from where he had left it among the clouds. The metal slammed down around ABAS, suppressing his power once more. Honestly, ABAS wasn't sure whether it was for the need to constantly train or to hide his complicated expression. From the outside, this whole thing very well may have appeared like it wasn't going in Athren's favor and while Zak's had the number advantage, Athren was FAR from out of this fight and he hadn't even been using his best techniques yet. He had made one single attempt to remove some of the threats and narrow it down to a simple one versus one, that was the ultimate goal. He wanted to fight the Queen alone. There would be no excuses, no way to pass on the blame of her defeat, there would only be acceptance before Athren removed the threat for good. While he took a moment to catch his breath after tanking the combined forces of their techniques, he was expecting them to hit him with a counter attack and he figured they'd all move on him at the same time. After all, that was the advantage they had held. They had the numbers on Athren and while it wasn't impossible to get a victory from here, Athren knew he was going to have to be more careful if he had expected to make it work. He remained in his fighting stance as he awaited the attack, ABAS had now been in position to reduce any potential collateral damage and the stage was set for this fight to continue. There was no fear in Athren's eyes, there was only motivation and the craving for battle. She shouldn't have ever come here and she was damn well going to pay the price for it. Did she really think she could come take his Dragon Balls, threaten his people and just get off free? That question was about to be answered.
It would seem as if Athren wasn't the only one who knew ABAS as Zaks had addressed him as well but it appeared that she was trying to sway him to take her side of this conflict from a moral standpoint. She couldn't really think the situation was as such, could she? She had come to his village and trespassed. When she was met with a warning to leave, she had refused and had decided to threaten the people and immediately after the threat was carried out, her reinforcements had arrived. If Athren had even stepped foot on Vegeta and told the Queen to bite it, she surely wouldn't stand for this. Athren might not have owned a planet, he might've not been a king to his people but he was their leader, he was the one responsible to protect them. This was his land and this land was for them. He had every right to demand what he did and he wasn't even close to being in the wrong. She could believe what she wanted to, she could try to tell the universe her side of the story. Athren's job was to keep his people safe and he'd die on that hill. They were his second priority, right outside of keeping his children safe and he'd do anything possible to keep them all alive.
"Responsibility for my actions?" Athren couldn't help but shake his head and smirk, completely dismissing what she had said. He was taking full responsibility, he was right here and willing to fight and backup his actions to the very end. There wasn't anything she could say or do that would change his mind. "You come to this planet and come to my home, without invitation and just think you can do as you please? You think I'd welcome you after your little attempt to invade a city? That punch was nothing more than a warning which, you refused to listen to." He paused for a brief moment after her chuckled, she was really trying to pin this whole thing on him. This wasn't HER home, she had NO right to decide if she was welcomed her or not. "And then, Instead of LEAVING peacefully when you had the chance. You threaten my people and then bring in your soldiers? You've proven yourself a threat to my village and it's people and you didn't leave many other options. My actions are justified and I'll follow this through until the end."
There wasn't any chance he was going to change his mind about it. She had blocked his punch and then decided to amplify the stakes dramatically. She escalated it. She hardly took any damage from the hit, what the hell was she crying about? She didn't like how the red carpets weren't rolled out for her grand entrance? If this was the way she reacted to a simple punch then she had confirmed more to Athren than she wouldn't wanted to. She wasn't fit to be the Queen of the Saiyan race. There was far better out there on the planet, ones who'd sacrifice everything to defend their home and their people. They wouldn't leave Vegeta defenseless, they'd fight to the end. Just like Athren was doing here because unlike this false Queen, Athren was born and raised on Vegeta and while he had demon heritage, he was still a saiyan at heart. The Earth might've numbed it, might've glossed over all that rawness but it wasn't something that he could erase and every single time he got a taste of battle, everything that he used to be was brought out to the surface of the fight. He'd always be a saiyan, more so than her.
She had then gone on to state that he was crying that he had to fight them all? She was clearly misunderstood. He actually laughed at this point. "You really are dense, aren't you?" He paused as he brought back in his laughter. "I cry because I have to fight you all? In fact, it's quite the opposite. I thrive off it, I relish the challenge because unlike you, I don't rely on others to fight my battles for me. Any saiyan with worth wouldn't abandon principles and pride! They would rely on their own strength." He shook his head, almost in disbelief of how far the saiyan empire had really fallen. "You brought 'em. What was I to do? Sit around and let you attack first when you threaten my people? It doesn't work that way."
It was at this moment that Zaks had brought a sword to the fight, she had raised it and was just about to attack Athren. His blood was rushing through his veins, he was more than excited to get back to this and this time. It appeared as if only SHE was going to press the attack. If this was the case, he wasn't going to bother with the other two if she was actually going to challenge him in a one on one fight. He was a saiyan after all, it was something he respected. Though before she could close the gap her soldiers had surrounded her, one had distracted her as the other one gripped her tail. It was in that moment that she immediately went weak and the threat of her was no longer existent. It was a moment Athren couldn't taken to wipe them all out, remove the threat for good. He even suspected that there would be plenty of saiyans to celebrate such a thing but unlike her, he had principles and he wasn't going to finish her off like this. If he had used her tail against her, it was a different story but he wasn't going to kill her like this. He honestly couldn't believe it, the Queen had left her tail weakness? It was something that was bashed into their heads from childhood, that the tail could be a weakness and it must be trained. She was displaying more and more weakness every second and Athren couldn't get enough of it.
It was at this point that he would just cross his arms and listen. There wasn't a fight to be had anymore, now that he saw the weakness of her tail he could easily exploit it at any moment and in a way, that just completely took him out of this situation. While he was willing to defend his people against a legitimate threat which the trio had appeared to be, he wasn't going to slaughter them now due to the fact that he knew he could easily walk all over them if the fight continued.
As he listened, he couldn't help but overhear the soldiers talking to Zaks about how Athren deserved death and how he was betraying his village. That was the farthest thing from the true and he couldn't help but pipe up about it. "Commit murder? If I wanted to commit murder, I'd take my advantage right now. Prior to this, I was removing the threat and defending my home. You talk about betrayal? You three have abandoned your people and run to safety while the remainder of Vegeta is facing extinction. You're all cowards, you've betrayed the saiyan people, and abandoned any sort of pride any of you had. You're far worse than I."
With more talking between the Queen and her crew, she had finally called ABAS over and it was at this point that she did something rather surprising. It wasn't the fact that she was talking like she had plans for Earth in the future, Athren could hear that and he felt like it was a threat but right now, that wasn't his concern. When she had given ABAS the Dragon Balls he couldn't help but arch an eyebrow curiously. The very same reason she came here and she's just giving them away? Interesting. Though while it was a curious move, it worked in Earth's favor because now ABAS had proven himself to be an ally and the doubts Athren had previously had been slowly starting to get erased. While he didn't trust ABAS fully yet, he was starting to buy into what the agent had told him about ABAS and his design.
After the Dragon Balls had been exchanged, Zaks would power down and approach Athren. Once again suggesting that Athren only wanted to murder her in cold blood. That wasn't factual. He engaged in this fight because the trio had appeared to be a threat. She hinted that she'd harm the people and that's all it took before Athren made his move but now? She wasn't a threat at all. With a simple use of his instant transmission, it was over. He'd just have to grab the tail. "No. I wanted to defend my home and my people. You decided to suggest that you were even the slightest of threats to them but your friend had just proven that to be wrong. You're far to weak to kill or be deemed a real threat." He paused a moment. "Now, you've got yourself a second chance. Beat it." While her power was rather impressive on her own, the fact that she hadn't mastered her tail was the weak point.
It didn't take much longer for Zaks to leave and it was just down to Athren and ABAS. It was at this moment that Athren would look over to ABAS curiously. "Well, it looks like we've got a majority of the Dragon Balls right here.. and before you buy into whatever bullshit she was trying to sell. You're safe and I'm not going to try to take them either. If anything, I'd say keeping them together right now is the worst possible decision we can make, but she gave them to you and they are yours do to with what you please, for now anyway."
Of course, his primary concern was that if they had been all gathered up and waiting to be used. Somebody else can come in and get them all in an instant. If that individual just so happened to be Arctic then there wouldn't even be a fighting chance and who knew what he was going to wish for. What he did know was that they needed to keep them separate from each other, they needed distance and space and people willing to fight to the death over them. If the Dragon Balls weren't active, the damage wouldn't be able to be reversed and if this Arctic got to use them here on Earth, they might've just been the final straw to make this situation go from hopeless to outright impossible.
Athren had wanted to take a moment and show gratitude towards ABAS. After their initial meeting, he couldn't help but assume that ABAS wasn't exactly the happiest to be around this village again or in Athren's presence. Athren had been a little harsh previously but he was only speaking his opinions on the matter and voicing his concerns but it was this act that had managed to gain Athren's respect. Athren still may have not trusted ABAS fully, but it surely opened the door for it. "I also want to say thank you, ABAS. I appreciate you putting yourself in the way of the people. You've earned my respect for that one."
While Athren couldn't ever know if that was simply programming or ABAS own accord, he couldn't help but assume that it was programming but the fact that he was here was something else. The lady that talked to him previously about ABAS' design wasn't lying, he was putting his life on the line whether he wanted to or not and if ABAS was really ready to die for the village, well.. his own free will or not, it was something that Athren had to expect. The Queen herself wasn't willing to die for her people and her planet but ABAS? He was willing to die for strangers.
It was at this moment that Athren reverted back to his base form and he had an idea. His blood was still rushing from the situation that had just happened and he still wanted a fight but instead of something serious, why not blow off some steam and have some fun? At the same time, it was a method to show some appreciation to ABAS and kind of give in to the offer that was made at the initial meeting.
"If I'm being honest though, that whole situation has me itching for a fight.."
He paused as he focused on ABAS with his now ocean blue eyes, his arms still crossed against his chest as he arched his brow. He knew how this was going to sound, especially given the circumstances that just happened. "How about a little friendly spar? Nothing too crazy."
He was hoping that ABAS was going to accept the offer and maybe during the fight, ABAS could learn something new by watching Athren. Of course, Athren had absolutely no ill intentions or wants to severely hurt ABAS. This was just going to be for fun, this was going to be something to blow off some steam and maybe try to form a small bond with the Bio-android. All he'd have to do is accept and from there, they'd see where it went.

Despite all of his arguments, even the ones that verged on outright threats, Zaks simply chose to ignore him and fly away. ABAS watched her leave with a long stare that hardened from respect to a resigned sort of neutrality. Before today, he had genuinely seen the Sayian Queen as somewhat of a mentor, someone who he could pull data from to make himself more whole. After all, Zaks HAD seemed more logical and reasonable than your garden variety ki-wielder. She had given him a chance to argue for himself and had given him resources with which to strengthen and grow. While he hadn't EXACTLY put her in the same mental tier as Liari or Callion, he had still cared for her a good deal. Well, as much as the bio-android was capable of caring for anyone or anything.
Now though, the dark clockwork of his mind churned as he reluctantly re-classified her from ally to possible enemy. Until the day he broke free from the Blacksite, a threat to Earth was a threat to him directly. If she truly meant to throw her life away for zero purpose, that meant she was directly lowering his probability of living through the month. If she intended to follow up on her implied conquest of Earth, then his life was in even more danger. Zaks HAD given him much benefit, but if she threatened his very existence, then ABAS would show no mercy. It was an unfortunate loss of resources, but that was reality.
With a rippling shrug, chunks of chitin peeled off ABAS' form, smashing down into the loamy earth below. If there wasn't going to be fighting here today, then there was no point in wasting bio-mass on maintaining his armored form. The discarded chitin would quickly begin to degrade, dissolving into a dark sludge that was quickly washed away by the raging storm. ABAS lifted his armored visor to the sky, scanning the clouds as if searching for something.
If Zaks didn't retreat today, my probability of dying was.....high. As Arctic gets closer and closer, incidents of this nature have an even higher chance of occurring. I need to hone my mental abilities to resist the mental pull if I want to have any chance at all of breaking free
After all, while his performance today was extraordinary for what he was just a few months previously, he still was completely unable to resist the siren call of his programming the second things went south. If this fight had been any more serious, such uncontrolled impulses could have had disastrous consequences. He needed to evolve, and soon. Preferably before Arctic got here at all.
ABAS would turn to face Athren as the Sayian greeted him, and he inclined his head in response. "Oh I didn't think you were, it does not seem in your nature to do so. Anyways, I agree with your conclusions Athren. It seems foolhardy to keep all of these orbs on one person when Arctic could just ambush them faster than anyone could react. I will be taking steps to separate them across our strongest warriors once I leave here today." He said, hefting the sack. "As for right now..."
A metal plate swung open on his torso, revealing the bio-android's bare flesh. Then ABAS carefully and deliberately pushed the sack into his chest until it disappeared beneath his skin. The bio-android's internals re-arranged themselves to make room for the Dragon Balls, until the sack was safely located within his body. The metal plate then hissed back into place like nothing had happened in the first place. ABAS made sure to delete audio and visual recordings of this encounter as well, grimacing through the intense pain the actions caused him. It wouldn't do for the Blacksite to know anything about this. Yet.
"Out of curiosity, would you be able to tell me more about these Dragon Balls? Everyone but I seems to know all about them. Does bringing them together grant infinite wishes? Or is there a process involved?" ABAS asked curiously. He could feel a strange sort of energy coming from the orbs, but it was too....ephemeral to make any hard judgments. Which, of course, made him even more curious.
ABAS shook his head in response to Athren's gratitude. "Your thanks are appreciated but unnecessary. My impulse to fight is baked into my very soul. I could no more resist to come to your aid than a human could resist a drink of water when dying of thirst. I am just satisfied that this has ended without our battle power suffering too much of a loss. Though, we will have to see what the Sayian queen decides after cooling off." He explained.
The bio-android wasn't a naturally self-effacing creature and held a great deal of pride in his strength, techniques, mind, and potential. However, he didn't see much point in being respected for something that he had no choice in. Better that he was thanked for his actual accomplishments, rather than those of circumstance.
At Athren's proposal for a fight, however, ABAS visibly perked up. The prospect of fighting the Sayian was quite attractive for him. After all, he had already gained so much from engaging Callion and Liari, so much so that the gains hadn't had quite enough time to settle. If he could add Athren to the mix, and copy the man's fighting style and techniques, how much stronger would he grow?
"I would be happy to Athren. I will keep on my weights so that I will grow the most from this encounter, but I believe I can give you a much better fight now than I would have in our last encounter. Shall we begin?"
ABAS flared his ki, vaporizing the rain falling between them and shaking the very Earth itself. Clouds parted, fleeing like frightened children before the bio-android's power. He then launched himself at Athren, eager to begin the fight.
ABAS approached like a stormfront of his own, but one borne of martial arts rather than the fury of nature itself. ABAS stabbed out at Athren with a flurry of punches and palm strikes aimed at the Sayian's damaged upper body. Now that he had time to refine and assimilate his growth, his technique was even more refined than it had been against Liari and Callion. While his blows still had the soul of his take on Crane Martial arts, their precision had been exponentially increased via studying Callion's fighting style.
This was not to say that ABAS fought exactly "fair" either. His limbs twisted at unnatural angle to attempt to snake around Athren's defenses. Hands and spiked protrusions emerged from his body in odd places to attempt to trip up Athren's fighting style. It was like fighting a diet version of Liari and Callion fused into a single being!

It was rather a nice relief to have somebody around with a similar mindset. It might've been something as simple as keeping the Dragon Balls seperate from one another but it was nice to have somebody on the same page who used logic even when faced with the most dire of situations. ABAS claimed that he planned to spread them out once he left here today and neither of them could deny that was for the best. For Athren's two, he knew for a fact that he was going to hold onto one as a minimum for safe keeping but he had been tempted as of late to deliver his second to Pran. Though if he were to do this, he was going to inform Pran of the stakes and what kind of target it could paint on his back. Athren wasn't in the business of trying to get people killed anymore and if there was going to be a risk involved, he'd make all parties aware of his plan as that was only fair. "Perfect, we're on the same page then. I may have one willing to accept the risk to take a Dragon Ball and if they're willing.. I'll pass one of mine to them. Give us the best chance to keep them apart and buy us as much time as possible if Arctic does come looking for them."While it wasn't a bullet proof plan, it was in their best interest. The harsh reality of it was that Arctic could cut through any fighter that Athren had ever met within seconds. If he really wanted to gather all Seven of Earth's Dragon Balls, the only thing people could do was stall him. There wasn't anybody who could stop him alone and who knew what kind of forces he was going to bring with him. Was he going to come alone? Was he going to bring his army? Did he have powerful soldiers? There had been so many questions that went unanswered at this time but it was safe to assume it was worse than what they had all thought initially. Unfortunately, ABAS' next question wasn't one that Athren was capable of answering. While he had used Dragon Balls before, his knowledge on them was rather limited. He wasn't a professional with them and he surely didn't do his research on them. He was just guided through his first time and for his second, well. He'd find out when he got there. "If I'm being completely honest, I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable about them either. Bringing them all together grants a certain number of wishes, I think the amount varies depending on the planet that they're on. As far as the depth of the wishes, that all depends on the Dragon's power. That's really about all I know and even then, I'm not confident with that answer." He was being completely truthful here. While it may appear to some that he was fluffing his answer to retain the knowledge for himself, it was truly the extend of what he knew. Being guided through the first one was simple and he didn't really care to ask about the lore or history of them, he simply used them to fulfill something important to him and that was his main concern. "Whether or not you think it's unnecessary, it was at least worth the mention. Whether or not you could resist or not." It seemed evident that he was forced to show up due to his programming and while it wasn't exactly a method that Athren was in support of, he appreciated the outcome never the less. It added an extra buffer to protect the people at a time where he was outnumbered. The blacksite and ABAS had his gratitude for now, whether either of them would accept it or not didn't much matter. As far as the situation with the Queen went, Athren didn't see any positives coming their way after she cooled off. From her attitude, her mindset and the threats buried within her passive aggressive words, he felt she was going to come back and cause more trouble. "I wouldn't be surprised if she brings her vengeance back to Earth after this Arctic thing is all said and done. Whether it be directed to Earth as a whole or just me and my village, I expect another fight in the near future." He paused for a moment as he shrugged his shoulders, it really hadn't been something he was worried about. "And I couldn't help but assume that it isn't my actions she holds a grudge against but my words. If she has any ounce of saiyan pride in her, she won't let my comments slide. I insulted her, called her weak. Hell, by the end of it she wasn't even worth killing. I'd take that shit personally."Of course, Athren trained far too frequently. If he had been in that situation and he wasn't even an opponent worthy of being killed, he'd try to prove that individual otherwise but for now, there was far too much else going on for Athren to worry about that. Arctic was the now problem, Zaks would be the later problem. With ABAS accepting Athren's offer for a friendly spar, Athren immediately took his defensive stance. While bother fighters likely knew it could be over in the blink of an eye, Athren was really only going to have fun with this. He'd play around and put effort within his base form but he wasn't going to go any harder than that. "Absolutely, Don't hold back."
With that ABAS pressed the attack forward after his Ki flared up. He unleashed a massive flurry of punches and kicks towards the Demon-Saiyan hybrid. It didn't take long for the flurry of attacks to go both ways as Athren returned the same style of attacks. He tossed out punches and kicks just as fast, though he was also taking hits. Though they weren't nearly enough to do much damage. Athren could feel his heart pumping, his adrenaline rushing. He needed this.

“Good. That should buy us an average of 3.6 seconds per ball assuming that Arctic speed grows exponentially from your own and he has some method of sensing these orbs” ABAS said, his expression thoughtful. Ideally, the entire group would be together by the time Arctic made landfall in order to marshal their strength. However, if ABAS was in the Changeling’s position, he doubted he would do something as simple as merely entering the planet’s atmosphere and deploying. There were any number of tricks or traps that could be employed to catch Earth’s defenders while they were unprepared. It was merely a matter of which one he would utilize
And that is not even accounting for the fact that many of our warriors are very….individualistic. What I wouldn’t give for a disciplined fighting force to face this foe. ABAS thought.
At Athren’s admission of ignorance at the Dragon Balls, ABAS would shake his head disappointedly. He had hoped for more information than this, but it was better than nothing. “Interesting. Mentions of a Sacred Dragon come up many times in Namekian writings, but I thought they were being metaphorical. And to think, all this time Earth possessed wish-granting orbs and nobody ever knew? Think of all the progress that could have been made with such power. How well-defended Earth could be from this coming threat.”
The sheer amount of possibilities that could be realized with such power were mind-boggling to the extreme. War and disease could be afterthoughts. The humans’ lacking fighting power? Gone in the snap of a finger. And while ABAS was a firm believer in the expression “there is no free lunch”, Athren hadn’t mentioned any real downsides to the ability. ABAS was practically itching to make it back to the Blacksite archives to learn more about these mysterious devices. “Anyways, you say I have a majority no? Then I assume there is only seven. If you have two then we have one ball unaccounted for. Should we prioritize the search for the final ball?”
Athren then went on to share his worries about Zaks. Specifically at his fears (ABAS supposed he would call them “anticipations”) of the vengeful Queen returning to exact a price for what happened here today. “You could be right. Judging by what she said, I suppose her next attack, if there is one, will be on a scale far outstripping that of South City. However, if that is something Earth is truly worried about, then there will be no need to wish back Vegeta for your wish on the Dragon. Without her armies, Zaks would face the same problem Arctic does of a united Earth. Only with a lot less power to compensate for such a gap in numbers. She will be a nuisance, but not an existential threat.” ABAS pointed out.
In all honesty, ABAS could not find it in him to care that much about the whole Zaks situation. By that time, he would either be free or dead, and as such it wouldn't be his problem.
As the battle between the two warriors commenced, ABAS found that his tricky fighting style wasn't nearly as effective as he would have wished. Athren was a warrior hardened and quenched by battle, and no matter what tactics ABAS tried, the Sayian was always ready. While ABAS was able to land a few glancing blows, he got the feeling that those were the ones Athren ALLOWED through, rather than ones he actually earned.
Even worse, the hits that broke through HIS guard slammed like jackhammers into his chest and jaw. The cracked bones and bruised muscles were quickly healed away by the bio-android's regeneration, but the energy it cost to do so was severe. Something had to change. ABAS flickered two jabs with his right, faked a cross with his left, then turned the motion into a roundhouse aimed directly at Athren's jaw. Whether or not the hit was successful, ABAS would back off to gain a little distance, then clap his hands together and concentrate his ki. "TRUE DODONPA!" With that roar, an extremely fast beam of yellow right shot forward from his joined fingers towards Athren's shoulder! Not only did its speed make it tricky to dodge, but it was aimed quite deviously, only increasing the danger!

Athren couldn't help but snicker at the comment made about the time frame that spreading the Dragon Balls would grant them. It seemed as if both of them knew it would've provide much time but it was still their best chance if they wanted to retain them. They had both knew that Arctic could plow through their forces with ease and there really wasn't much standing in Arctic's way. Time was the biggest advantage that Earth had and they'd have to play that card for as long as it was physically possible. United, few warriors of Earth may be able to do some damage onto the Changeling warrior but even that wasn't for certain. No matter which strategy they had taken, they were rolling the dice and hoping for the best possible outcome. "While you're not wrong, I'd hate to say that those few seconds may be our biggest advantage in this situation. We MAY have the numbers but against an opponent so strong. Even the numbers advantage can dwindle down in a matter of seconds."
With the subject of the Dragon Balls continuing, ABAS did have some valid points. They were here all along and could've been used to prepare the Earth's defensive force a long time ago but that didn't seem like it was the best use of the Dragon Balls. Whether or not it was right wasn't the question, but a matter of the Earth coming together to provide defenses naturally. It might've been his heritage and how he was raised but Athren wouldn't ever use the Dragon Balls to increase his power or improve upon his fighting capabilities, that just wasn't who he was. He firmly believe that hard work and effort was the best way to prepare yourself for a fight and if the Earth had managed to do that a long time ago, there was a potential that they'd have been ready. If the Earth could spawn warriors like Pran, Gemikai and even Shorette, they could provide more. ABAS was even a warrior of Earth, though he wasn't born through traditional methods, they could've replicated the process that used for him.
"While I can't say you're wrong, I also don't believe that these Dragon Balls should be used so lightly. While they could be used to prevent disaster, that could lead to a slippery slope. The more frequently they're used and the more reliant somebody is on them, the more likely they are to be abused for.. less relevant wishes. " Of course, Athren wasn't trying to argue ABAS' point here. They could've been used in preparation for Arctic, without even the slightest bit of a doubt but if a people started using the Dragon Balls to solve every issue, they could become numb to the significance and begin to wish for anything to be easier and that simply wasn't the way. "You'd be right to assume so, there's only seven of them. As far as the last one goes, I'm not sure if it's better to leave it where it is or attempt to put it in safer hands. Both options have a positive and a negative to it. If we find it and pass it along, it may be safer but that's another fighter with a target on their backs and assuming Arctic is seeking them out, that fighter wouldn't last long. If it remains where it is, maybe Arctic struggles to find it immediately and it stalls his progress long than a fighter would?" Athren thought about it a moment. It really was a gamble either way. He didn't know which was the best route but at the same time, he wasn't the one making the big decisions for Earth. He was making decisions for himself and doing what he thought was best. While his Dragon Balls were going to go towards fixing everything afterwards, that was about as much as he contributed to the groups efforts. He didn't even know what page they were on.
ABAS spoke of the Queen and he even believed that refusing to wish Vegeta back would take away her advantage, though Athren didn't believe that was right either. It wasn't justified to let a people remain dead over the decisions of one. "While strategically, that plan would be effective I also don't believe it right to let the saiyan's remain dead over the actions of one. Besides, from what I just seen? It wouldn't be hard to turn the saiyan's against her. After all, she did abandon her people." This wasn't something Athren was overly concerned about. Once the threat of Arctic had been removed, he'd deal with the Queen himself if he had too. Assuming he made it through.
With the fight continuing, ABAS kept the attack going. Athren was very pleased with the outcome of this little spar so far. It was engaging, fun and it was managing to really scratch the itch that Zak's had worked up. Though he still couldn't believe she tucked tail and ran off like that after threatening his people. Thankfully, ABAS showed up just in time to help Athren blow off a little steam from the situation he was just in. ABAS got in nice and close, he had sent a small flurry of attacks before sending a BLAST right towards Athren's shoulder. Though Athren didn't even attempt to go for a dodge, nor did he make an attempt to block it. He simply allowed it to CRASH into his shoulder. This one hurt him, while in his base form his body wasn't strong enough to simply nullify it to nothing. With a grunt that escaped his lips, Athren simply pressed forward through it and kept his own attack going.
He'd throw a rapid right fist towards ABAS Jawline, followed by a left jab and finally he'd bring his own right foot up and around for a roundhouse aimed at the center of mass. He was applying hard pressure as he was attempting to overwhelm ABAS completely with his combinations.
